Steps to Safety

Prevention

Alarm tests are conducted weekly on Tuesdays to ensure they function. Unless you hear persistent alarms, it's just us keeping our commitment to everyone's safety.

Detection

In the event of a possible incident or disruption of operations, short pattern horn blasts are issued. Normally, this is being handled by facility staff and no action is required.

Notification

When the public needs to be notified of an incident, ReadyKern is available for reverse 911 calling. If you're enrolled, you'll receive voice, text, and email alerts for emergencies that occur in your area.

Our Commitment

The Central Valley Renewable Fuels Facility has an excellent safety record — including a period in which the facility employees had not experienced a single OSHA record-able injury in more than five years. While our goal and plan is to prevent accidents, we believe that providing the community with important safety information, helping them understand warning signs and describing actions they can take offers an additional layer of protection and security. When it comes to community safety, our focus is Prevention, Early Detection and Notification.
